Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading food manufacturing plant in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and continuous production flow within the food processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will undertake a variety of tasks that include diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults across food production lines. Responsibilities also extend to maintaining and servicing essential equipment such as mixers, ovens, conveyors, and packaging machines. The role requires performing routine preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, troubleshooting electrical issues related to control panels and wiring, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, and compressor systems. Additionally, the technician will inspect, replace, and calibrate machine parts as needed, respond promptly to production breakdowns, and work collaboratively with production teams to address recurrent problems while strictly following food safety and hygiene standards.

Required Skills

Ideal candidates should possess strong troubleshooting abilities, solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the capacity to stay calm and effective in production emergency situations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a clear commitment to safety protocols and hygiene regulations. Flexibility to work in shifts when necessary will also be a key attribute.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants are expected to hold a technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or a related discipline. Prior experience with machinery and equipment maintenance within food manufacturing or confectionery sectors is highly preferred. A sound understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems is crucial, as is the ability to interpret basic mechanical and electrical diagrams. Experience with food production and packaging machinery will be an advantage.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a fast-paced food production facility focused on maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene during all operational tasks.
