Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAS Testing Consultant to join our team in Dubai. This role involves testing the integration of banking systems with various compliance-related platforms, ensuring smooth data flow and reliable system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAS programming along with knowledge of the banking domain, particularly in compliance and AML.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include testing the seamless integration of bank systems with compliance transaction monitoring systems, compliance data marts, and other related platforms. You will be responsible for creating, testing, debugging, and maintaining SAS programs, as well as documenting processes and outcomes. Additionally, you will compare data from large datasets, combine different data sources, and perform advanced data manipulation tasks. Part of your role will be to generate reports using ODS and coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end data flows across various systems.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Proficient in SAS Enterprise Guide, including SAS MACROs and procedures
  • Strong data handling skills: combining datasets, reading diverse data formats, and manipulating data steps
  • Experience in writing and debugging SAS programs to meet testing requirements
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data accurately
  • Skilled in creating reports using ODS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Basic familiarity with Cognos reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of data flow between multiple banking and compliance systems
  • Experience working within AML or compliance environments is advantageous

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience using SAS, with a minimum of two years focused on the banking sector. Experience in testing, especially using SAS, should be at least one year. Familiarity with compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) practices in banking is highly preferred to effectively contribute to the integration testing process.
