Job Overview

A reputable construction company in Bahrain is looking for a skilled and locally available MEP Engineer to lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering efforts for their high-rise buildings and large villa projects. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of MEP system planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure projects meet quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all MEP activities on site, managing subcontractors, and working closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers. Their role includes reviewing design drawings, technical submittals, and resolving site issues promptly to maintain project workflows. Additionally, the engineer will monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance with Bahraini building codes and safety regulations.

• Lead MEP system planning and execution including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning phases ensuring adherence to project specifications
• Review MEP designs, material submissions, and respond to technical queries
• Conduct site inspections and implement effective solutions to technical challenges
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and oversee subcontractor performance
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Track project progress and prepare detailed reports on MEP activities
• Facilitate proper coordination between MEP services and other construction operations

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and bring 5 to 7 years of proven experience in similar MEP roles, particularly on high-rise and villa developments. Strong technical knowledge of MEP system design, construction standards, and commissioning processes is essential. Excellent communication and team leadership abilities are required to manage multiple ongoing tasks and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–7 years of relevant MEP engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with high-rise buildings and large villa projects
• Deep understanding of MEP installation, testing, and commissioning
• Familiarity with Bahraini building codes and construction standards
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Proficient in English communication
• Ability to manage teams and subcontractors efficiently
