Job Overview

China Railway Construction Corporation International (CRCCI) is actively seeking a skilled Procurement Electrical Engineer specializing in MEP to support its prominent project in Riyadh’s Diriyah area. This role demands a professional with extensive experience in managing procurement processes within electrical and MEP disciplines, ideally in construction and EPC environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition of electrical and MEP materials, equipment, and systems to meet project timelines and quality standards. Key duties include preparing and reviewing material requisitions (MRs), requests for quotations (RFQs), purchase orders, and other technical procurement documents. The role involves close coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering and project teams to ensure a seamless procurement process. Candidates will also review suppliers’ technical offers, negotiate commercial terms including pricing and delivery schedules, monitor procurement timelines, verify compliance with approved specifications, and maintain thorough procurement documentation and reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have between 5 to 8 years of relevant procurement experience within electrical/MEP sectors, especially in EPC or large-scale construction projects. Proven knowledge of electrical and MEP materials and systems is essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong negotiation skills and vendor management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, while experience with ERP procurement systems will be advantageous. The role favors those with prior exposure to both residential and commercial building projects. Excellent communication and coordination skills are also necessary to ensure effective collaboration with all project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to professionals who have a robust background specifically in electrical and MEP procurement and who can show immediate availability to join this high-profile initiative. Experience working with contracting companies and in landmark development projects in Saudi Arabia will be highly regarded.
