Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager specializing in Order and Logistics to oversee procurement and logistics operations for major civil and MEP material categories. This role is based in Dubai and involves managing international sourcing and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading global supplier negotiations, coordinating overseas orders, managing freight and logistics, and ensuring seamless procurement of civil and MEP materials. Additional duties include cost optimization through framework agreements, monitoring supplier performance, gathering market intelligence, and driving continuous process improvements in procurement and logistics activities.

Required Skills and Experience

You should bring over 15 years of procurement experience in civil construction, contracting, or real estate development sectors. Proven expertise in handling major civil finishes, MEP materials, and subcontract packages is essential. Extensive hands-on experience managing the entire international order lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiation to purchase order placement, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and final site delivery—is required.

Strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a track record of building sustainable supplier relationships will be key to your success. Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement reporting tools, and working collaboratively with engineering, project, finance, legal, and site teams is necessary.

Educational and Language Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is mandatory. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus. Candidates must be willing and able to travel internationally as part of their role.
