Job Overview

Vetic, a reputable company specializing in elevator technologies, is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for candidates with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering estimation, particularly covering quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and preparation of project quotations.

Key Responsibilities

The Estimation Engineer will play a critical role in the successful bidding and execution of projects by preparing precise and competitive cost estimates. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed project cost estimates and quotations based on thorough analysis.
• Reviewing technical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and specifications to assess project requirements.
• Conducting quantity take-offs and calculating material and labor costs accurately.
• Requesting, collecting, and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyzing project scope, potential risks, and financial impacts.
• Coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment.
• Submitting competitive tenders within set deadlines.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of estimations and costing data for project tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience specifically in project estimation.
• Strong mastery of BOQ interpretation, quantity take-offs, costing methods, and tender documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and specialized estimation software.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Excellent analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly advantageous.
