Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Firestop Inspector to join our team for ongoing projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in firestop inspection and passive fire protection, ensuring that installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
The Firestop Inspector will be responsible for thoroughly examining firestop installations, verifying compliance with approved drawings, UL-listed systems, and project requirements. This role involves identifying any deviations, providing detailed inspection reports, and supporting Work Inspection Requests (WIR). Coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams is essential to ensure that all firestop work adheres to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- UL Firestop Inspector Certification is mandatory.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in firestop inspection, passive fire protection, firestop installation, or QA/QC roles.
- In-depth knowledge of UL-listed firestop systems, fire-rated assemblies, and passive fire protection requirements.
- Experience inspecting fire-rated walls and floors, shaft walls, expansion joints, and curtain wall perimeter fire barriers.
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) penetrations related to firestop installations.
- Strong grasp of construction quality standards, inspection methodologies, and QA/QC procedures.
- Excellent reporting abilities, clear communication, and effective coordination skills.
