Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Accountant professional to join our reputable construction and contracting company based in Dubai, UAE. This full-time position requires a candidate with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in procurement and accounting within the construction sector, capable of managing purchasing processes and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities related to construction materials, obtaining and evaluating quotations, negotiating prices with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Duties also include preparing purchase orders, verifying supplier invoices, managing accounts payable, handling petty cash, and maintaining thorough procurement and accounting documentation. Coordination with site teams, suppliers, and management to ensure smooth project execution is an essential part of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a construction or contracting company within the UAE.
• Strong proficiency in procurement procedures and accounting practices, including listing and reconciling expenses.
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing construction materials, supplier management, and negotiation techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with different stakeholders.
• Experience with UAE construction industry standards is highly desirable.
