Job Overview

We are urgently seeking Mechanical Quality Control Inspectors (QCI) specializing in both static and rotating equipment for multiple long-term positions. The roles are based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, with immediate mobilization required. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in mechanical engineering quality assurance within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors, preferably with experience on EPC projects and Saudi Aramco sites.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical QCIs will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the highest industry standards across all mechanical equipment inspection and testing phases. This includes overseeing the fabrication, erection, and pre-commissioning activities of various static and rotating machinery. Inspectors must carry out detailed document reviews, inspect materials and workmanship, and verify adherence to contract specifications, drawing guidance, codes, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical QCI in relevant industries such as oil and gas production or petrochemical projects, with at least 3 years on EPC project sites.
• Certification in API 653 and API 510 is mandatory.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical static and rotating equipment, including steam turbines, compressors, pumps, engines, motors, generators, gearboxes, and firewater systems, among others.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant engineering codes and standards such as ASTM, API standards, IEC, NEMA, UL, FM, NFPA, ASME BPVC Sections I, V, VIII, IX, ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, B73; plus AWS D1.1 and NACE standards.
• Strong familiarity with mechanical process systems inspection and testing procedures, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment for quality checks.
• In-depth knowledge of the 2015 ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, and experience interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications, and construction methods.
• Ability to conduct inspections and testing independently with minimal supervision, ensuring contractor compliance.
• Saudi Aramco project experience is a valuable advantage.
