Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Professional to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. This role is pivotal to managing and maintaining the accuracy of financial records within a retail and mall-based environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general ledger functions, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Professional will handle a broad range of accounting duties including:

• Managing the general ledger and preparing journal entries
• Conducting bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Performing intercompany and inter-store reconciliations
• Completing monthly closing tasks and preparing financial reports
• Reviewing trial balances for accuracy
• Generating audit schedules and management reports
• Ensuring VAT compliance and upholding internal controls
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong background in general ledger accounting preferred
• Excellent reconciliation and analytical abilities
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting software such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in retail or mall-based accounting is a plus
• Knowledge of POS and inventory systems is advantageous
