Job Overview

DACO is looking for a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of high-profile infrastructure and construction projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This role requires a Saudi national who will oversee electrical systems from design validation to onsite supervision, ensuring compliance with national standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will carry out multiple critical functions, including:

• Reviewing and approving electrical design documents such as load schedules, single-line diagrams, and shop drawings.
• Assessing material submittals to ensure they meet project criteria and standards.
• Collaborating closely with consultants for drawing approvals and resolving technical queries.
• Supervising installation work for high- and low-voltage power distribution, street lighting on road projects, building lighting, power systems, and low current systems like CCTV, fire alarms, and data networks.
• Ensuring all work aligns with issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings and contractual requirements.
• Monitoring subcontractors to maintain quality and adherence to timelines.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and preparing detailed observation and progress reports.
• Enforcing compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), SEC standards (where applicable), project specifications, and health and safety regulations.
• Supporting testing and commissioning processes and assisting the QA/QC team in addressing and closing non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Participating in project coordination meetings and providing weekly and monthly updates on progress.
• Assisting with bill of quantity (BOQ) verification, cost management, and material planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Saudi National (mandatory).
• Active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience working on infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and low current systems.
• Familiarity with SEC standards and Saudi regulations related to electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with additional skills in Revit/BIM considered a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, leadership qualities, and excellent site coordination abilities.
• Willingness and flexibility to work across various project sites throughout the Kingdom.
