Job Overview

Averroës Academy in Riyadh is looking for a passionate and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join their academic staff. This role involves teaching across various curricula including FBISE, O Level, A Level, and IB through both online and on-campus formats. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of mathematics concepts and excellent communication skills, committed to providing an engaging and supportive learning experience for students.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering clear and dynamic lessons on mathematical concepts tailored to different academic levels and curricula. Preparation of detailed lesson plans, interactive presentations, worksheets, and practical problem-solving activities are essential components of this role. The teacher will regularly design and conduct assessments such as quizzes, tests, and assignments to monitor student progress effectively.

Supporting students outside regular class hours by offering extra help sessions and exam preparation is crucial. Classroom management is another responsibility to ensure a respectful and productive environment. Proficiency in utilizing digital tools, online platforms, and educational simulations is expected to enhance the teaching process. The teacher will also collaborate closely with faculty members to continuously improve the teaching methodologies and student outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

For specialist roles teaching O/A Level and IB Mathematics, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field, with at least two years of teaching experience within these curricula. Strong command of English and deep knowledge in areas such as algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, and trigonometry are necessary.

For positions targeting FBISE or junior levels, a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics is required along with a minimum of two years teaching experience relevant to the Federal Board curriculum. A thorough understanding of the Mathematics syllabus for grades 9 to 12 is essential along with effective communication and classroom management skills.

All candidates should possess excellent subject expertise, be adept at simplifying complex topics, and have experience with digital learning tools including LMS platforms. Strong assessment design skills aligned with curriculum standards and professional conduct, including punctuality and a positive attitude towards students, are expected.
