Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Technical Manager specializing in design to join a prestigious building and architecture project based in Doha, Qatar. This temporary role is for an initial period of three months with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will oversee all phases of the design process from concept development through to completion. Responsibilities include conducting detailed design reviews, managing the evaluation of technical submissions, ensuring quality control across design outputs, and supervising the preparation and verification of shop drawings. Leadership of the design team to meet project milestones and maintain high standards is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 10 to 15 years of proven experience in design and technical management within the building industry.
• Strong ability in managing design stages from schematic designs and development to detailed construction documentation.
• Experience in large-scale building projects with comprehensive design review capabilities.
• Expertise in shop drawing development and checking.
• Demonstrated team leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
• Knowledge of Qatar construction standards is preferred, with direct Ashghal project experience being an advantage.
• Candidates must hold a valid Qatar ID (QID) and be able to join immediately.
