Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years working within the UAE construction industry. This role involves overseeing electrical activities at construction sites and ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will supervise and manage electrical works on construction projects, ensuring all activities align with approved drawings and project specifications. You will review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications, coordinating closely with consultants, contractors, and other MEP disciplines. Monitoring site progress and maintaining project timelines will be a key part of your duties.

Additional responsibilities include conducting inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, overseeing testing and commissioning phases, and facilitating the smooth handover of electrical systems. You will also be expected to identify and resolve any technical or site-related challenges promptly while maintaining strict adherence to HSE requirements and local regulations.

Preparing detailed site reports, progress updates, and technical documentation will support project tracking and stakeholder communication. Managing materials, manpower, and subcontractor performance to optimize resources and meet project goals is also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years within the UAE construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and project specifications.
• Proven ability in site supervision and managing multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Familiarity with HSE requirements and local regulations in the UAE.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Capability to manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of electrical works.
