Job Overview

We are seeking a proficient Plumber Technician to join our maintenance team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves working closely under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager to ensure plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and facility environments are installed, repaired, and maintained to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Plumber Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including installation and upkeep of water supply lines, drainage systems, pipes, valves, and fixtures. The role requires diagnosing and repairing issues such as leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and drainage faults. You will also be expected to service water heaters, pumps, water tanks, and filtration units.

Utilizing blueprints, technical schematics, and isometric drawings will be essential for completing tasks accurately. The position requires skills in welding, threading, soldering, and fitting different piping materials such as PPR, PVC, PEX, copper, and galvanized iron (GI). Preventive maintenance duties must be conducted regularly while maintaining thorough records in the CMMS or other maintenance systems.

Responding to emergency plumbing call-outs, which may include after-hours shifts, is part of the role. Collaboration with electricians, HVAC technicians, and civil workers on integrated projects is also required. Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have between 2 to 5 years of hands-on plumbing experience, preferably within the Gulf region or Saudi Arabia. A technical diploma, ITI certification, or vocational training in plumbing or a related trade is required. Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code plumbing standards and local water and drainage systems will be advantageous.

Proficiency with pipe threading machines, pressure testing equipment, drain snakes, and standard plumbing hand tools is necessary. For applicants currently residing in Saudi Arabia, a valid Iqama with transferable sponsorship is required. Holding a Saudi driving license is a plus.

Basic communication skills in English or Arabic, particularly the ability to read and understand work orders, are important. Physical fitness and the capability to work under high-temperature conditions typical of the Saudi climate are essential for this role.

Working Conditions

The position requires working eight-hour shifts, six days per week, including rotating on-call duties to address emergency repairs. The role demands flexibility and commitment due to occasional after-hours emergency response requirements.
