Danube Group is seeking a motivated Assistant Buyer to join our Garden Category team in the UAE. This role plays a crucial part in supporting purchasing activities for our retail and e-commerce platforms, focusing on gardening and outdoor living products. Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Buyer, you will collaborate closely with the Buyer to manage supplier relationships and streamline the buying process. Your responsibilities include conducting supplier negotiations, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate product listings and pricing across all sales channels. You will analyze sales data and customer demand to guide buying decisions, coordinate with the marketing team on product promotions, and ensure supply chain efficiency to keep inventory levels optimal. Conducting market research, identifying new product opportunities, and supporting merchandising strategies and seasonal buying plans are also vital parts of your role.

Required Skills and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, category management, or procurement, ideally within the garden, home improvement, home décor, or retail sectors. Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret sales trends and market insights. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems is expected, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities. A self-driven attitude and attention to detail will help you excel in our fast-paced retail environment.
