Job Overview

GCC Ginco Contracting LLC is seeking a skilled Technical Manager to lead its Technical Department in Dubai. This pivotal role involves directing all technical documentation, coordination, and engineering support across multiple residential building and villa construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, technical excellence, and timely delivery while meeting all contract and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team comprising Technical Coordinators, Rebar Detailers, and BIM specialists. Your duties include overseeing the preparation and approval of essential technical documents such as shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and RFIs. You will maintain strong relationships with consultants, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring all technical issues are resolved promptly to keep projects on track. Additionally, you will enforce documentation standards and quality control procedures, review submissions prior to client and authority release, and support tender evaluations and construction planning from a technical perspective. Mentorship of junior technical staff will form a key part of your leadership role.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with a Master’s degree being advantageous. A minimum of 12 years’ experience in the construction sector is required, including at least 5 years in a Technical Manager capacity. Your background must demonstrate successful collaboration with Tier 1 contractors in the UAE on large-scale building or villa developments. Comprehensive knowledge of UAE authorities’ requirements, including Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DM, and Trakhees, is essential. Strong leadership skills, stakeholder management abilities, and a proactive problem-solving approach are crucial for this position.
