Job Overview

Samsung is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join their finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on managing day-to-day accounting operations and delivering accurate financial reporting within the Construction and Oil & Gas sectors. Candidates with relevant UAE industry experience will thrive in this position, playing a key role in financial compliance and internal coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling crucial accounting tasks, including:

• Preparing payment applications, progress billings, and certifications related to subcontractors.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments to subcontractors, supplier invoicing, and client collections.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, maintaining audit readiness, and keeping detailed financial documentation.
• Generating financial reports such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries, cash-flow statements, and conducting variance analyses.
• Collaborating with project teams, procurement, HR, vendors, banks, and the Head Office to address financial matters efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Between 3 to 5 years of practical accounting experience within UAE’s Construction or Oil & Gas industries.
• Strong proficiency with construction ERP software, particularly SAP.
• Solid understanding of UAE Labor Law and UAE VAT regulations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
