Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting from AED 5,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Immediate joiners are preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in surveying, cost estimation, and quantity surveying within the construction industry. You will play a critical role in preparing accurate budgets and managing project costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Estimator will be responsible for:

• Preparing precise cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), project budgets, and tender documents based on project drawings and specifications.
• Performing detailed quantity take-offs, cost calculations, and pricing analyses to support accurate financial planning.
• Reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations to assist in cost evaluation and negotiation.
• Collaborating closely with procurement and project teams to ensure cost-efficient sourcing of materials and services.
• Managing all aspects of tender pricing, including variations, change orders, claims, and the final account settlement process.
• Monitoring ongoing project costs and preparing regular cost reports, valuations, and payment application submissions.
• Maintaining comprehensive cost records, supplier databases, and project documentation to support transparency and audit requirements.
• Coordinating effectively with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in construction cost estimation or quantity surveying, preferably within the UAE market.
• Experience working with Chinese-funded construction companies is considered an advantage.
• Strong expertise in preparing and interpreting BOQs, quantity take-offs, tender documentation, and cost control techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimation software tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, paired with strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and support financial decision-making.
