Job Overview

We are urgently looking for an experienced QA/QC Inspector specializing in civil engineering to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes for various civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality construction standards in earthworks, roads, drainage systems, utilities, and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

The QA/QC Inspector will play a critical role in inspecting civil works, verifying adherence to approved drawings and procedures, and ensuring project quality through rigorous testing and documentation. Main duties include:

• Inspecting civil infrastructure elements such as earthworks, excavation, backfilling, compaction, roads, drainage, manholes, utilities, and pipelines.
• Confirming that all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and construction procedures.
• Witnessing material and site tests, recording results, and maintaining thorough inspection records, reports, and logs including NCRs and MIRs.
• Identifying non-conforming work, issuing NCRs, and tracking the implementation of corrective and preventive actions until closure.
• Coordinating inspection activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies.
• Supporting project final inspections, snagging processes, handover, and project close-out activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in QA/QC roles on civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in roads, utilities, drainage, or large-scale infrastructure construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil quality control inspections, site testing, documentation procedures, ITPs, method statements, and NCR management.
• Valid QA/QC certifications are highly preferred.
