Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned HVAC Construction Manager / Senior HVAC Engineer to oversee HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, and construction projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will lead site operations to ensure all HVAC works meet safety standards, project specifications, and client requirements efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves managing and supervising HVAC construction activities on-site, including reviewing HVAC drawings, specifications, and approved materials. You will coordinate and plan HVAC works in line with project timelines, supervising the installation of various systems such as chilled water systems, air handling units, fan coil units, package units, split/ducted units, ventilation and exhaust systems, ductwork, chilled water piping, pumps, and related equipment.

Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural divisions is critical. The position entails the supervision of subcontractors, site technicians, and workforce, as well as managing manpower, materials, and equipment for optimum productivity. Maintaining compliance with approved documents, QA/QC, and HSE procedures is essential throughout the project lifecycle.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing inspection requests, testing, commissioning, resolving site technical challenges, attending client and consultant meetings, tracking project progress, preparing reports, supporting procurement, ensuring proper testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, and managing documentation for project handover.

Required Qualifications and Skills

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, though candidates holding a diploma with significant relevant experience will be considered. The candidate must have between 8 to 12 years of practical experience in HVAC construction and installation, ideally with exposure to industrial, commercial, or infrastructure EPC projects, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.

Proficiency in HVAC site execution, understanding of HVAC systems including ductwork and chilled water piping, and expertise in interpreting HVAC drawings, layouts, and specifications is required. Familiarity with HVAC testing, balancing, and international codes is important. Candidates should also be adept with AutoCAD, MS Office, project planning, QA/QC procedures, and HSE standards.

Leadership and Management Skills

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and coordination skills, the capability to handle pressure, resolve technical issues effectively, and maintain productive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Preferred Certifications

Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is an advantage. Additional certifications related to HVAC as well as safety credentials such as IOSH or NEBOSH will be considered beneficial.
