Job Overview

A leading wooden factory in Bahrain is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the wooden products manufacturing or similar industries. The position requires a proactive individual capable of working closely with customers, design teams, and production to ensure accurate project estimations and quality deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor will serve as the primary contact for customers, managing inquiries both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities include developing preliminary quantity and cost estimates based on customer needs and design input, conducting site visits to clarify project requirements, and preparing detailed estimates from final shop drawings to gain approvals.

Coordination with the production department to develop sample materials for customer approval and ensuring final project approvals before finishing processes are critical components of this role. Additionally, the Quantity Surveyor will interpret consultant drawings to define the project scope, compile material lists with specifications to support procurement efforts, and engage in discussions with architects, clients, and project managers to fully understand the project before estimation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience as a Quantity Surveyor in wooden product manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in interpreting design plans and preparing accurate material and cost estimates.
• Good coordination skills to work with production teams and other stakeholders.
