Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ice Plant Technician to maintain and service our ice manufacturing equipment located across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dawadmi in Saudi Arabia. Our operations involve producing and distributing high-quality ice, and the technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of the entire ice production system.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of Vogt Tube-Ice P-24A machines that use ammonia (R-717) refrigerants. The technician will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ice production machinery, including the ammonia refrigeration circuit, mechanical components, electrical systems, and the freeze and harvest cycles. Regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs are essential to avoid downtime and support optimal plant performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working with ammonia-based (R-717) ice machines.
• Strong background with reciprocating compressors, especially 60 HP belt-driven models.
• Solid mechanical aptitude combined with electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols, particularly when dealing with ammonia refrigerants.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the complete machine system.
• Must have a transferable iqama or be eligible to obtain a work visa for Saudi Arabia.
