Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer with extensive experience in welding procedures and pipeline construction to join a leading Oil & Gas EPC company based in the UAE. This role requires a professional with a strong engineering background and proven expertise in welding standards and quality assurance for onshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Welding Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ). The role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards during the construction of onshore pipelines, including cross-country, flowlines, and transmission lines.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7 to 10 years of professional experience working as a Welding Engineer
• Proficient in the development and administration of WPS, PQR, and WPQ
• Hands-on experience with onshore pipeline construction projects in the oil and gas sector
• Strong understanding of mechanical, welding, or metallurgical engineering principles
• Previous work experience in GCC or UAE markets is a significant advantage

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field is required to qualify for this position.
