We are seeking a skilled Purchase Officer / Buyer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support our retail operations. This position demands a professional with solid experience in procurement within the retail sector and a strong background in ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. This includes preparing and managing purchase orders to guarantee timely procurement aligned with business needs. Developing and maintaining robust vendor partnerships is essential, as well as monitoring inventory levels and collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure seamless operations. The role also involves conducting detailed cost analysis to identify potential savings and supporting the implementation and optimization of ERP systems for procurement and inventory management. Maintaining accurate procurement records and generating comprehensive purchasing reports will complete the responsibilities.

Required Skills and Experience

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of five years’ experience as a Purchase Officer or Buyer with specific exposure to the retail industry. Practical experience with ERP software implementation is mandatory for success in this role, ideally involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP or a comparable system. Exceptional negotiation, analytical thinking, and communication abilities are critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is also required to manage data efficiently.
