Roots Global Chartered Accountants, Tax Consultants, and Business Advisors is expanding its accounting team and seeking two skilled accounting professionals. These opportunities are ideal for candidates with extensive experience in full-cycle accounting and expertise in either QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books. The roles are based in the United Arab Emirates and offer client engagement-based projects, perfect for professionals looking to contribute to a reputable international practice.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting for multiple clients, including full-cycle bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, and preparation of management accounts. Additional duties include setting up accounting systems, cleaning up existing records, adjusting chart of accounts, handling opening balances, and correcting historical data. Maintaining detailed documentation and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations will also be an essential part of the work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years experience in comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent professional certification
• Proven proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Zoho Books is mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage various client accounts simultaneously
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements; experience with UK VAT or accounting systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills, high professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail
• Understanding of accounting system setup, data cleanup, and reconciliations

Work Arrangement
