We are seeking a dedicated Library Coordinator to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time position offered on a 2.5-year contract basis through outsourcing. The ideal candidate will have a background in library science along with proven experience in public library services. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential, along with strong communication abilities and familiarity with library management systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Library Coordinator will oversee daily library operations and assist patrons in accessing library resources efficiently. Responsibilities include managing library databases such as WorldCat and JSTOR, maintaining library standards, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The role involves coordinating with library staff and supporting the implementation of library policies and procedures.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of two years’ experience in public library services
• Proficient in Arabic and English languages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable in library systems and standards
• Experience working with digital library databases like WorldCat and JSTOR
