Job Overview

Aria Holding is looking for a seasoned Senior Financial Control and Reconciliation Officer to join their team in Doha, Qatar. This role is essential in supporting financial control activities, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, closely monitoring expenditures, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audit processes within a dynamic banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial control functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor expenditures and implement robust controls to manage financial risks effectively.
• Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate audit activities, ensuring timely provision of required documentation and facilitating smooth audit processes.
• Maintain and update fixed asset registers and manage depreciation accounting accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support financial operations and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Eight to ten years of relevant professional experience with at least four years focused on financial control and account reconciliation.
• Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred to understand industry-specific regulations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting principles, expenditure controls, and reporting practices.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Expertise in managing fixed asset registers, chart of accounts, and overseeing audit coordination.
• Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and managing multiple priorities.
