Job Overview

Descon Engineering’s Construction Division is conducting a walk-in interview for a Supervisor – Rigging position in Abu Dhabi. The role requires hands-on experience in rigging and lifting activities within the oil and gas sector. This full-time opportunity offers a long-term project engagement in a dynamic engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee rigging operations ensuring compliance with safety standards and lifting procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing lifting plans, method statements, and conducting risk assessments to maintain safe and efficient job execution.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oil and gas projects related to rigging and lifting activities
• In-depth understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and lifting procedures
• Strong ability to evaluate lifting plans and risk assessments critically
• Good command of English to communicate effectively on site

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in EPC projects, plant maintenance, LNG plants, refineries, or petrochemical facilities are highly desirable.
