Job Overview

A well-established construction company based in Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator or Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in civil infrastructure projects. This role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates and managing tendering processes for major projects such as roads, drainage, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and detailed rate analysis for various infrastructure projects. Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications will be crucial to understanding project requirements and ensuring competitive and compliant submissions. Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotations and preparing both technical and commercial proposals within strict tender deadlines are essential tasks. Collaboration with project managers, planning, and procurement teams will be necessary to maintain efficient workflows. Additionally, the candidate will manage and update cost databases covering materials, labor, and equipment.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in tendering and estimation for civil infrastructure projects is required, preferably with exposure to GCC countries. Familiarity with Bahrain Tender Board procedures and government tender processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and industry-standard estimation software is essential. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work efficiently under tight deadlines will ensure success in this role.
