Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled male Accountant to join the finance team of a dynamic marketing and events company in Bahrain. This role involves managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing banking activities, and preparing detailed financial reports to support management in decision-making processes related to projects and events.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for handling daily accounting operations such as recording journal entries, managing accounts receivable and payable, invoicing clients, and following up on collections. Additionally, the candidate will review and process supplier invoices, prepare account statements, and assist with monthly payroll in collaboration with management.

Monitoring and reconciling bank transactions, coordinating with banks on financial documentation, and conducting monthly bank reconciliations are also essential duties. The role includes preparing monthly and annual financial reports, performing project and event cost analysis, tracking related expenses, and ensuring timely VAT filing and compliance. Supporting both internal and external audits is a key part of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, which is mandatory for this role
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, preferably in marketing, events, or project-based environments
• Proficiency with Zoho Books accounting software is required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience with VAT return submission
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy to manage financial records efficiently
• Ability to work well under pressure, especially during peak event periods
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Maintaining strict confidentiality with financial information is essential
