Job Overview

Nair Systems is seeking an experienced Data and AI Project Lead to join its Qatar operations. This leadership role requires a professional with extensive experience managing large-scale projects in data and artificial intelligence, particularly in the banking or financial sector. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of complex initiatives that drive business value through data-driven solutions and AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

The Data and AI Project Lead will take full ownership of project delivery, from planning through to execution and closure. They will coordinate with various business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and achievement of project goals. Core responsibilities include:

• Leading project governance efforts using Agile frameworks, including sprint planning and backlog management through JIRA.
• Facilitating Project Review Working Groups to track progress, manage risks, and support effective decision-making.
• Overseeing vendor management to maintain adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Monitoring risks, dependencies, and escalations across multiple workstreams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensuring alignment of data, analytics, governance, and AI initiatives with overall business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience managing data and AI projects, with a strong technical background in data platforms and analytics ecosystems. Experience within banking or financial services, especially in the GCC region or Qatar, is highly regarded. Key skills include:

• Proven expertise in Agile project management and the use of collaboration tools such as JIRA.
• Strong interpersonal skills for managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent leadership qualities and vendor management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
