Job Overview

We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Chinese Translator based in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves facilitating seamless communication between our management team, Chinese partners, subcontractors, and local workforce. The ideal candidate will demonstrate fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with Arabic language skills considered an advantage. Experience in business, contracting, or trade sectors will be highly valued for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The translator will be responsible for providing accurate interpretation and translation services both on-site and remotely. Duties include live interpretation during meetings, site visits, and project briefings in Madinah, as well as translating technical documents such as operational logs, payment schedules, contracts, and official correspondence. The role also supports communication of daily project updates, safety instructions, and workforce coordination for Chinese-speaking employees and engineers. Additionally, the translator will assist with logistics and subcontractor communication to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Currently residing in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah with a valid Iqama or work eligibility.
• Native or fluent Mandarin speaker with strong written and spoken skills.
• High proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a significant plus.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in translation, interpretation, or site coordination, preferably within contracting, construction, or trade industries.
• Basic understanding of terminology related to contracting, logistics, and corporate administration.
• Flexible availability to attend meetings or site visits on short notice as required.
