Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimation Engineer with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in construction estimation to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on developing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of projects including construction, industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong Civil Engineering background and experience estimating multidisciplinary EPC projects covering Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation works.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents such as Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and evaluate project scope, specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, equipment, manpower, consumables, tools, transportation, and profit margins.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, including complete qualification packages and submission documents.
• Identify and assess risks related to procurement, scheduling, construction, commercial terms, and technical scope.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, planning, construction, commercial, finance teams, clients, and external vendors.
• Maintain documentation such as cost estimates, bid comparison reports, supplier comparison sheets, and tender registers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory; additional qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management are a plus.
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience preparing multidisciplinary estimates across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation works for EPC projects.
• Proven track record in estimating for industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, or maintenance projects.
• Strong expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQs preparation, and tender management.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian market conditions and standards preferred.
• Experience with Saudi Aramco projects or major industrial clients like SABIC, Ma’aden, SEC, SWCC, SATORP, or YASREF is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Greenfield, Brownfield, maintenance, and shutdown projects enhances candidacy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
