Job Overview

Petron Saudi Industrial Company is looking for a skilled Steel Structural Design Engineer to join their Engineering team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on designing steel structures within the manufacturing and fabrication industry, particularly related to heavy industrial projects such as pressure vessels and pipeline spools.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing steel structural design and analysis for various industrial fabrication projects. Duties include preparing structural calculations, developing fabrication drawings, compiling material take-offs, and producing comprehensive engineering documentation. Coordination with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and fabrication is essential to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and fabrication design.
• Expertise in steel structural design involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pipeline spools, skids, and similar heavy industrial projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, AISC, and AWS.
• Proficiency with engineering software including PV Elite, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.
• Strong ability to produce accurate structural calculations and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Additional Information

Applicants must currently reside in Saudi Arabia as this vacancy is open for local transfer only. Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly advantageous and will be considered a strong asset for the role.
