Job Overview

Nair Systems is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to join our Qatar operations on an offshore basis. This critical role involves leading the design and implementation of a sophisticated digital financial services platform that supports mobile remittance, precious metals purchase, Mastercard Multi-Currency Travel Card, and currency exchange services. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership through the entire software development lifecycle while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and architectural governance.

Key Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will act as the primary technical authority, bridging strategic vision and practical execution. Responsibilities include:

• Designing scalable, high-availability system architecture compliant with CENTRAL BANK Technology Risk Instructions and ISO 27001/22301 standards.
• Overseeing architecture governance across on-premise, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Azure cloud environments.
• Leading and mentoring cross-functional development and QA teams, guiding them on complex technical issues.
• Translating complex business and regulatory requirements into secure and efficient architectural solutions.
• Implementing security architecture, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Driving best practices in performance engineering and observability through application performance monitoring.

Required Skills and Experience

The candidate must have a strong background in software engineering and solution architecture, with proven expertise in financial systems, particularly banking and fintech domains. Key skills include:

• Proficiency in .NET Core/.NET Framework, Java (Spring Boot), microservices design, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect for authentication and authorization.
• Database management skills including MS SQL Server and Oracle DB with WebLogic administration.
• Hands-on experience in front-end architecture using Angular and Flutter frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms OCI and Azure, alongside container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitLab.
• Understanding of API gateways such as Nginx or Kong and their role in security and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role.
• Demonstrated background in banking, payments, fintech, or regulated financial sectors.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF 9/10, AWS, Azure or OCI Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
• Additional credentials like PCI DSS QSA/ISA certification are advantageous.
• Proven leadership skills managing Agile/Scrum or SAFe teams ranging from 5 to 15 members.
• An in-depth understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks including PCI DSS, ISO 27001/22301, GDPR, and general data privacy principles.

Work Environment and Joining Details

This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced fintech environment requiring strong collaboration between technical teams and regulatory stakeholders. The candidate should be ready to join within 2 weeks to a maximum of 1 month.
