Job Overview
A reputable construction firm in Jeddah is seeking a skilled Planning and Procurement Engineer with a solid background in the construction sector. This position is open exclusively to female professionals currently residing in Saudi Arabia who can join immediately. The role focuses on effective project planning and procurement management to support timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be accountable for preparing and maintaining detailed project schedules while tracking progress through daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials are delivered on time is essential. This role requires managing Purchase Orders, Material Requests, Inspection Requests, and associated procurement paperwork.
Additional tasks include reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical drawings to assist in estimation processes, generating S-Curves, Histograms, Look-Ahead Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Baseline Schedules, and conducting Critical Path Analysis. Monitoring manpower allocation, project resources, and cash flow are also vital duties. Maintaining QA/QC and procurement records aligned with project requirements and liaising with project teams for seamless execution and reporting are part of the role. Proficiency in generating reports using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, as well as supporting project close-out documentation, is expected.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and have a minimum of three years’ experience specifically in Planning, Procurement, or Project Controls within the construction industry. Proven construction industry expertise is mandatory. Candidates should be proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Excel, and ERP software. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Power BI will be considered an advantage. Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines are essential.
