Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dashcam Technician to join our after-sales support team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Our company specializes in distributing dashcams and smart electronics across the region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining dashcam units, managing firmware and software updates, and preparing comprehensive technical reports for our brand partners. This is a full-time position requiring initial training and interview in Riyadh before relocating to Jeddah.

Key Responsibilities

The Dashcam Technician will handle the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of dashcam units returned under warranty or for repair. This includes performing firmware updates and identifying hardware and software faults such as lens damage, storage malfunction, power issues, or software glitches. Accurate documentation of issues, including video and photo evidence, is vital for reporting to brand partners.

Additional duties include maintaining detailed records of repairs, replacements, and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) cases, coordinating with brand technical teams to resolve recurring problems, and conducting quality assurance tests on repaired units before they are returned to customers or inventory. The technician will also be responsible for managing spare parts inventory aligned with repair needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology along with certification as an Electronics or Electrical Technician. At least two years of practical experience in electronics repair or technical support is essential, preferably involving consumer electronics or dashcams, with a background in the Saudi Arabian market highly valued.

Familiarity with dashcam brands and experience managing firmware update procedures are considered strong advantages. Candidates must demonstrate excellent report-writing skills in both Arabic and English, possess proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and soldering equipment, and communicate effectively when liaising with brand technical teams. A valid Iqama with transferable status is preferred.

Additional Information

The applicant must be available to attend the interview in Riyadh and complete a one-month training program there before commencing work in Jeddah permanently.
