Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our Dubai-based team, working remotely within the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of Zoho Books and UAE VAT regulations. This full-time role requires the candidate to have their own visa and be resident in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and updating the general ledger regularly. You will prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, perform bank reconciliations, and oversee cash flow management. The role also involves processing invoices, payments, and expense claims, as well as preparing and filing VAT returns according to FTA requirements. Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is essential, along with coordinating audit processes and ensuring full compliance with UAE accounting standards and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3 to 5 years accounting experience, preferably within the UAE
• Proficiency in Zoho Books or Zoho Accounting software
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and tax filing procedures
• Experience preparing financial statements and bank reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with a UAE-based company is advantageous
• Knowledge of payroll processing and Wage Protection System (WPS)
• Familiarity with audit procedures and financial compliance requirements
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus
