Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Rental Sales Engineer to join our Specialized Equipment Rental (SER) Division based in the UAE. This full-time role focuses exclusively on rental sales of industrial equipment, including pumps, diesel generators, compressors, lighting towers, and other related rental assets. The position involves managing rental-led projects as well as standalone equipment rentals across various key sectors such as oil and gas, construction, municipal utilities, marine, power, and water.

Key Responsibilities

As an Equipment Rental Sales Engineer, your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth through securing rental contracts and project-based rental scopes. Your daily activities will include:

• Promoting and renting industrial equipment like pumps, diesel generators, compressors, and lighting solutions
• Identifying and pursuing rental opportunities in construction, infrastructure, municipal, oil and gas, marine, and power sectors
• Engaging with clients to understand their equipment needs and drafting accurate proposals and quotations
• Negotiating commercial terms and closing rental contracts efficiently
• Gathering market intelligence including competitor pricing and project updates
• Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, and providing weekly activity reports
• Supporting management with pricing strategies and bid submissions
• Building strong relationships with procurement teams, site engineers, and contractors for smooth deal execution
• Coordinating handover of rental agreements to operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory
• A minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in the UAE’s industrial equipment rental sector or a closely related technical sales field
• Proven hands-on experience with renting pumps, generators, compressors, or similar heavy industrial equipment
• A solid understanding of the Middle East rental market and major industry players
• Existing client relationships in at least one core sector such as oil and gas, construction, marine, municipal services, or power and water
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an added advantage
• Valid UAE driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential
