Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This position requires extensive accounting experience within the UAE, along with solid knowledge of ERP systems and local tax regulations including VAT and Corporate Tax. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong finance background who thrive in a dynamic environment and are ready to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records through ERP platforms. Key duties include managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and the General Ledger (GL). The role also involves generating invoices for both one-time projects and ongoing services, as well as handling payment reconciliation through Stripe.

Additional responsibilities involve following up on outstanding customer payments through email and phone communications, sending payment reminders and statements, performing bank reconciliations, and monitoring cash flow to report overdue payments. The candidate will also process supplier invoices and company expenses while preparing financial statements, management reports, and budgets.

Ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws by accurately preparing and filing VAT and Corporate Tax Returns within required deadlines is essential. Maintaining supporting documentation for all tax-related activities is also a critical part of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a finance-related field
• 6 to 8 years of overall accounting experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience within the UAE market (mandatory)
• Strong proficiency in using ERP accounting systems
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Excellent communication skills for managing customer and supplier interactions
