Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Gas Design Engineer (IGD) with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience and certification in IGD engineering. The position is based in Jeddah, with an assignment at the HMMME Facility Project in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). This role involves the design, review, and supervision of industrial gas piping systems, ensuring all installations meet safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and reviewing industrial gas piping systems, including the preparation and assessment of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and shop drawings. Coordination with multiple disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams is essential to the project’s success. The role also requires supervising the installation of gas pipelines and equipment, performing pressure testing, leak testing, purging, and overseeing commissioning activities. Compliance with relevant standards such as NFPA, ASME, local codes, and project specifications must be ensured throughout all processes. Additionally, preparing Requests for Information (RFIs), method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and other inspection documentation will be part of the responsibilities.

Required Skills

• Expertise in industrial gas piping design
• Strong knowledge of pressure testing and commissioning procedures
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including ASME B31.3 and NFPA
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar design software
• Effective coordination with QA/QC and commissioning teams

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess certification as an IGD Engineer and demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience. Willingness to be assigned to the HMMME Facility Project in KAEC City is mandatory.
