A reputable construction company based in Dubai is currently seeking a diligent Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is well-suited for female candidates with foundational accounting skills and a readiness to manage a variety of basic accounting and administrative duties. Familiarity with accounting processes specific to the construction sector is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for handling bookkeeping tasks, preparing and processing VAT filings, managing invoicing, as well as overseeing accounts payable and receivable. Additional duties include performing bank reconciliations, monitoring petty cash transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records using Microsoft Excel. This position also involves supporting daily administrative and operational functions within the accounting department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience with VAT and invoicing procedures
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation and managing accounts payable and receivable
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Capability to perform petty cash management
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not mandatory
