Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our expanding team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This role requires a candidate with solid accounting expertise and a thorough understanding of UAE financial regulations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in accounting within the UAE market, preferably within the spare parts industry.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, ensuring precise financial record-keeping, and generating comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will handle accounts payable and receivable processes, conduct reconciliations, and oversee cash flow management to optimize company expenses.

Preparation and filing of VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax laws will be a vital part of the role. Additional duties include bank reconciliations, processing supplier invoices, customer receipts, and payments, as well as supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. The role also involves assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, coordinating with auditors, and maintaining organized, accurate accounting documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must have proven accounting experience in the UAE, with preference given to those familiar with the spare parts sector. A strong grasp of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems is essential. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting will support effective performance in this position.

The role demands keen attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, the ability to meet deadlines, and the flexibility to handle multiple accounting responsibilities independently. Immediate availability will be considered an advantage.
