Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tendering Engineer specializing in high-voltage electrical substations at the 380KV level. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of five years’ proven experience with electrical substations, and familiarity with Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of cost estimates and manage related financial aspects of tender submissions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate cost data as required.
• Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals aligned with project requirements.
• Represent the company in client meetings to clarify tender details and address queries.
• Ensure all tender documents comply with company commercial policies and obtain the necessary approvals following the delegation of authority.
• Oversee the completion and delivery of all handover documentation after contract award.
• Support company-wide initiatives proactively and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of general specifications and prevailing market conditions in the electrical substation sector.
• Identify potential risks and hazards related to tendering processes and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Perform additional tasks relevant to the role as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum five years of direct involvement in electrical substations at 380KV, particularly with projects for SEC and Saudi Aramco.
• Experience in overhead transmission line (OHTL) construction is highly advantageous.
• Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, cost estimation, and contract management.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

The position is based in Riyadh and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams across the company and external stakeholders. The role demands attention to technical detail while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
