Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in power, electrical, substation, transformer, and switchgear projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of power transformers as well as MV/LV switchgear. Previous experience working in the Gulf or GCC region is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing power transformer and switchgear projects from start to finish. This role involves leading project teams and coordinating efforts across clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, manpower and procurement plans, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor project progress closely, addressing any delays or technical obstacles promptly to keep projects on track.
• Supervise all phases including installation, testing, commissioning, and formal handover.
• Ensure strict adherence to project scope, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide comprehensive progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Review and approve technical documents such as drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Manage financial aspects including project costs, variations, claims, and invoicing.
• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to secure successful project completion.
• Maintain thorough documentation and oversee quality control and final project close-out tasks.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships, actively supporting business development efforts.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in managing power, electrical, substation, transformer, and switchgear projects.
• Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, resource management, and contract administration.
• In-depth knowledge of installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance processes for power transformers and MV/LV switchgear.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex project coordination and multi-stakeholder communication.
• Experience working in Gulf or GCC countries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and HSE compliance requirements.
