We are urgently seeking a Junior Accountant with experience in the gold and precious metals trading industry to join our finance team in Dubai, UAE. This role requires a candidate familiar with accounting practices specific to precious metals, including gold and silver transactions. The ideal applicant will support financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance within a dynamic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will play an essential role in maintaining detailed financial records and supporting various accounting functions related to precious metals trading. Key duties include:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, depreciation, and prepayments with precision
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring daily cash flow activities
• Ensuring adherence to tax laws, including VAT regulations, and company financial policies
• Accurately recording and processing transactions involving gold, silver, and other precious metals
• Providing support during internal and external audits by compiling necessary documents and reports
• Maintaining comprehensive financial records and helping to implement internal controls and procedures
• Collaborating closely with traders and operations teams to verify transaction accuracy and market-related activities
• Preparing routine financial reports and assisting management with financial analysis
• Handling general accounting and administrative duties as delegated by senior accountants or finance managers

Required Skills and Experience

Only candidates with relevant industry experience in precious metals or related fields will be considered. Essential qualifications include:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, especially related to precious metals trading
• Experience with financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance including VAT
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate transaction records and supporting audits
• Ability to work collaboratively with trading and operational teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
