Job Overview

Nair Systems is seeking an experienced Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation Application Developer to join our UAE team. This role requires strong technical expertise in Fusion Trade Innovation application setup, configuration, and integration within banking environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business users to deliver tailored trade finance solutions that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The developer will be responsible for configuring and implementing various Fusion Trade Innovation modules according to business requirements. Managing end-to-end application setups including workflows, parameters, and product configurations will be essential. The role includes designing and building seamless interfaces with internal and external systems using APIs, messaging services, and file-based methods. Customizing application components such as screens and reports will also be a key task. Additionally, providing L2 and L3 support for production issues, participating in upgrades, patches, and environment management, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations are part of the responsibilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE for customization purposes.
• Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP/REST), XML, XSLT, and messaging frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL database querying.
• Understanding of deployment, environment configuration, and release processes.
• Proven troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities.
• Good grasp of Trade Finance processes including Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees/Standby LCs, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain Finance basics.
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle, compliance requirements, and transaction processing.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience within banking or financial services environments is preferred. Candidates with prior exposure to Trade Finance implementation projects and banking integration architecture will have a competitive advantage.

Soft Skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Attention to detail and the habit of maintaining structured documentation are essential. The role also demands independent working capability along with collaborative teamwork.
