Key Responsibilities
In these roles, you will be responsible for meeting sales targets, developing new clients, and growing the company’s air freight business within the UAE. Promptly responding to customer inquiries and providing tailored air freight solutions based on cargo type, transit times, and destination is essential. You will prepare quotations, negotiate terms, follow up on potential business, and work to establish long-term customer relationships.
Maintaining regular communication with existing clients to understand their shipping needs and identify further opportunities will be part of your routine. Additionally, coordinating with the finance department to monitor customer payments and address outstanding invoices is required. Collaboration with internal teams such as Customer Service, Operations, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, Transportation, and Finance will ensure smooth shipment processes and timely issue resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should have at least three years of sales experience within the UAE’s freight forwarding sector, specifically with a strong emphasis on air freight sales. A solid knowledge of the UAE air freight market, including major airline services, rate structures, and freight forwarding operations, is crucial.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to independently grow a customer base, negotiate effectively, and close deals. Familiarity with customs clearance procedures, local transportation solutions, and offering comprehensive integrated logistics solutions will be an advantage. Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated professionals who can manage business development autonomously are highly preferred.
Compensation and Location
The Air Freight Sales Executive position offers a salary of AED 5,000, while the Senior Air Freight Sales Executive role carries a salary of AED 8,000. Both roles are based in the United Arab Emirates.
