Job Overview

We are a well-established food distribution company in Riyadh seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in the food trading industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing top-quality food products, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs throughout the supply chain.

In this position, you will oversee procurement processes, ensuring inventory accuracy, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, and safeguarding profit margins across various product categories including perishables, dairy, and dry goods.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include identifying and onboarding dependable local and international suppliers specializing in food commodities, dairy, and produce. You will negotiate pricing, payment conditions, and delivery timelines to secure the best commercial outcomes.

Collaborating closely with warehouse and inventory teams, you will monitor stock levels to reduce waste and avoid shortages by leveraging ERP systems. Ensuring all sourced food items comply with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations and maintaining product quality standards is essential.

Furthermore, you will nurture long-term partnerships with suppliers while promptly resolving any commercial issues or shipment discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of procurement experience exclusively within the food trading or food and beverage distribution sector is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global and local food supply chains, including shelf-life and temperature-controlled logistics management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially inventory management modules, and strong data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage costings and profit margins effectively.
• Residency in Riyadh with a transferable Iqama is required.
• Immediate availability and joining preference will be an advantage.
